Specialty Night Diving (EN)

You will learn how the conditions change during night dives and which safety precautions and emergency plans you need to observe. Diving from a boat has special requirements that you will also learn about. Aids for underwater orientation, such as compass and light signals, are important components of the training. You will also be informed about the biological features that you can observe at night, as well as about water protection, which always plays an important role.

Practical training is all about putting what you have learnt into practice. You will select dive sites and assess the shore conditions. Location planning is another important step to ensure that all safety precautions are taken. Underwater orientation is done using a compass, terrain, moonlight and light signals. Special attention is paid to the specific requirements of diving from a boat.

This comprehensive training prepares you optimally for night diving and enables you to explore the fascinating underwater world at night safely and confidently.

• Minimum age 12 years
• Proof of good health
• Proof of Open Water Diver or equivalent
• For minors, a declaration of consent from a parent or guardian is required

A mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the respective course is the practical training. This will incur additional costs. These costs are to be paid separately to the DiveCenter selected by you.

The pricing for the practical training is up to the respective DiveCenter and can vary accordingly.

At the end of the course and with successful practical training, you will receive your certification, which certifies that you have successfully completed the Night Diving speciality.

The purchase of an i.a.c. e-Academy course does not automatically lead to certification of the respective course. For a valid certification, the required practice units according to the Training Record Card must also be carried out with an i.a.c. instructor. Instructor and be finally approved by this instructor. The additional costs for the practice units/examinations are to be paid by the purchasing person to the DiveCenter itself.
