Specialty Night Diving (EN)

You’ll learn how conditions change during night dives and what safety precautions and emergency plans you need to follow. Diving from a boat presents specific challenges that you’ll also learn about. Tools for underwater navigation, such as a compass and light signals, are key components of the training. You’ll also learn about the unique biological phenomena you can observe at night, as well as water conservation, which always plays an important role.

The practical training focuses on putting what you’ve learned into practice. You’ll select dive sites and assess the conditions along the shore. On-site planning is another important step in ensuring all safety precautions are taken. Underwater navigation is done using a compass, the terrain, moonlight, and light signals. Special attention is given to the specific requirements of diving from a boat.

This comprehensive training optimally prepares you for night diving and enables you to explore the fascinating underwater world at night safely and confidently.

• Minimum age of 12
• Proof of good health
• Proof of i.a.c. Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
• For minors, a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian is required

A mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the respective course is the practical training. This will incur additional costs. These costs are to be paid separately to the DiveCenter selected by you.

The pricing for the practical training is up to the respective DiveCenter and can vary accordingly.

At the end of the course and upon successful completion of the practical training, you will receive your certification, which attests that you have successfully completed the i.a.c. Specialty Night Diving course.

The purchase of an i.a.c. e-Academy course does not automatically lead to certification of the respective course. For a valid certification, the required practice units according to the Training Record Card must also be carried out with an i.a.c. instructor. Instructor and be finally approved by this instructor. The additional costs for the practice units/examinations are to be paid by the purchasing person to the DiveCenter itself.
