With the i.a.c. Advanced Open Water Diver course, you’ll take your recreational diving skills to the next level. This certification allows you to dive in deeper waters (up to 40 meters) and under more challenging conditions. To earn this certification, you must complete three i.a.c. Specialties. The two required specialties—Navigation and Deep Diving—plus one additional specialty of your choice.
The i.a.c. Advanced Open Water Diver course is an important step toward advanced diving and significantly expands your skills and knowledge. It allows you to dive both deeper and longer and prepares you for specialized dives, such as wreck, current, or nitrox dives.
The AOWD course covers the theory of the three i.a.c. Specialties as well as the corresponding practical dives, under the guidance of an instructor. Upon successful completion of the required specialties, you will receive the i.a.c. Advanced Open Water Diver certification, which is recognized worldwide.

A mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the respective course is the practical training. This will incur additional costs. These costs are to be paid separately to the DiveCenter selected by you.
The pricing for the practical training is up to the respective DiveCenter and can vary accordingly.
Together with a dive buddy by your side, you can now descend into deeper waters. Of course, after completing the i.a.c. AOWD course, many more i.a.c. Specialties are available to you in our course program.
At the end of the course, upon successful completion of the practical training, you’ll receive your certification, which attests that you’ve successfully completed the i.a.c. Advanced Open Water Diver course.
The purchase of an i.a.c. e-Academy course does not automatically lead to certification of the respective course. For a valid certification, the required practice units according to the Training Record Card must also be carried out with an i.a.c. instructor. Instructor and be finally approved by this instructor. The additional costs for the practice units/examinations are to be paid by the purchasing person to the DiveCenter itself.
