Here you’ll learn how to dive safely even at greater depths.

The i.a.c. Deep Diving course prepares you to dive safely at depths greater than 20 meters. It covers both theory and practical exercises, addressing the specific challenges and hazards of dives between 20 and 40 meters.

In the theory portion, you’ll learn about the physical and medical aspects of deep diving, as well as the necessary safety precautions. In the practical portion, you’ll learn how to safely apply the theory you’ve learned.

  • Deep Diving Risks
  • Air, time and decompression calculation for deep diving according to table
  • Importance of dive stops during ascent: Deep Stop, Safety Stop and Decompression Stop.
  • Legal and technical requirements for deep diving
  • Recognizing and solving problems specific to deep diving, e.g. depth intoxication, (emergency) ascent from greater depths
    Organizing and securing dives
  • Minimum age of 15
  • Proof of good health
  • Proof of i.a.c. Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
  • For minors, a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian is required

A mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the respective course is the practical training. This will incur additional costs. These costs are to be paid separately to the DiveCenter selected by you.

The pricing for the practical training is up to the respective DiveCenter and can vary accordingly.

At the end of the course and upon successful completion of the practical training, you will receive your certification, which attests that you have successfully completed the i.a.c. Specialty Deep Diving course.

The purchase of an i.a.c. e-Academy course does not automatically lead to certification of the respective course. For a valid certification, the required practice units according to the Training Record Card must also be carried out with an i.a.c. instructor. Instructor and be finally approved by this instructor. The additional costs for the practice units/examinations are to be paid by the purchasing person to the DiveCenter itself.
