Specialty Dive Group Management (EN)

Here you will learn how to lead dive groups underwater and ensure safety within the group.

In the Dive Group Management specialty, you will learn about the tasks and activities of a group leader. You will learn how to assess the divers in the group as well as how to react in good time and act appropriately in the event of incidents. The focus is on carrying out a dive, adapted to the water and the level of performance of the divers. This course gives you the opportunity to apply your skills as a Dive Group Manager.

THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINING

  • Tasks of the group leader

  • Briefing and post-briefing

  • Organization of procedures on safe entry and exit

  • Ensuring “group discipline” under water

  • Recognizing diving problems within the group
  • Placing the buoy on the safety stop and controlling the group at the same time
  • Minimum age 15 years old
  • Proof of Open Water Diver or equivalent
  • Proof of good health
  • For minors, a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian is required
  • Proof of Specialty Navigation
  • Proof of Specialty Stress & Rescue

A mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the respective course is the practical training. This will incur additional costs. These costs are to be paid separately to the DiveCenter selected by you.

The pricing for the practical training is up to the respective DiveCenter and can vary accordingly.

At the end of the course and with successful practical training, you will receive your certification, which certifies that you have successfully completed the Specialty Dive Group Management.

The purchase of an i.a.c. e-Academy course does not automatically lead to certification of the respective course. For a valid certification, the required practice units according to the Training Record Card must also be carried out with an i.a.c. instructor. Instructor and be finally approved by this instructor. The additional costs for the practice units/examinations are to be paid by the purchasing person to the DiveCenter itself.
