Here you will learn to find your way underwater at any time during your dive.
The navigation course deals with the techniques and methods of navigation while diving. Here you will learn how to navigate with a compass and dive computer, estimate distances and determine and find landmarks. The course includes both theory and practical exercises and is designed to improve your safety and confidence underwater.

- Natural navigation (e.g. depth contours, vegetation, ground conditions, light incidence).
- Navigation with the help of instruments (e.g. compass, depth gauge, watch, dive computer)
- Compass orientation (principle, design, handling, sources of error)
- Behavior and measures in case of loss of orientation
- Minimum age 12 years
- Proof of health status
- Proof of Open Water Diver or comparable
- For minors, the declaration of consent of the legal guardian is required

A mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the respective course is the practical training. This will incur additional costs. These costs are to be paid separately to the DiveCenter selected by you.
The pricing for the practical training is up to the respective DiveCenter and can vary accordingly.
At the end of the course and with successful practical training you will receive your certification, which certifies that you have successfully completed the Specialty Navigation.
The purchase of an i.a.c. e-Academy course does not automatically lead to certification of the respective course. For a valid certification, the required practice units according to the Training Record Card must also be carried out with an i.a.c. instructor. Instructor and be finally approved by this instructor. The additional costs for the practice units/examinations are to be paid by the purchasing person to the DiveCenter itself.
