Specialty Nitrox Basic (EN)

In this course, you’ll learn how to handle higher oxygen levels in your breathing gas.

In this course, you’ll learn about the importance of Nitrox, how to use it, and its applications. After completing the course, you’ll be able to plan your dives to be both safer and longer, as the higher oxygen content reduces the risk of decompression sickness.

In the theoretical portion, you’ll learn the specifics of diving with Nitrox and how to apply this knowledge to your dive planning, as well as how to control and monitor it during the dive.

Upon completion of the i.a.c. Specialty Nitrox Basic course, you will be able to use Nitrox gas mixtures safely and effectively and extend your dive times.

A mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the respective course is the practical training. This will incur additional costs. These costs are to be paid separately to the DiveCenter selected by you.

The pricing for the practical training is up to the respective DiveCenter and can vary accordingly.

At the end of the course, upon successful completion of the practical training, you will receive your certification, which attests that you have successfully completed the i.a.c. Specialty Nitrox Basic.

The purchase of an i.a.c. e-Academy course does not automatically lead to certification of the respective course. For a valid certification, the required practice units according to the Training Record Card must also be carried out with an i.a.c. instructor. Instructor and be finally approved by this instructor. The additional costs for the practice units/examinations are to be paid by the purchasing person to the DiveCenter itself.
