In the River Diving course you will learn how to prepare your equipment for diving in rivers and which river-specific additional equipment and rescue equipment is needed. In theory and practice you will become familiar with the safe planning, preparation and execution of river dives.

THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINING
- Why river diving and what are the expectations?
- Dangers during river diving

- Position of the diver under water
- Behavior in an emergency
- Possible rope belays
- Utilize different current strengths (e.g., shoreline area, midstream).
- Safety ropes, spare parts, lamps and first aid equipment

- Proof of Open Water Diver or comparable
- For minors, the declaration of consent of the legal guardian is required

A mandatory requirement for the successful completion of the respective course is the practical training. This will incur additional costs. These costs are to be paid separately to the DiveCenter selected by you.
The pricing for the practical training is up to the respective DiveCenter and can vary accordingly.
At the end of the course and with successful practical training you will receive your certification, which certifies that you have successfully completed the Specialty River Diving.
The purchase of an i.a.c. e-Academy course does not automatically lead to certification of the respective course. For a valid certification, the required practice units according to the Training Record Card must also be carried out with an i.a.c. instructor. Instructor and be finally approved by this instructor. The additional costs for the practice units/examinations are to be paid by the purchasing person to the DiveCenter itself.
